Great game. Please update for iOS 9. Used to work before, now just crashes instead of loading

This was one of my favorite games as a kid I just download it and it crashes!!! I would love to play it!!

Ive loved this game as a kid. I even have it on my iMac. I was hoping it would come out for iPad. So glad it did but wont even load. Holding out hope that they fix this because I cant even play it right now. Hopefully you guys fix/update this soon!

Waste of money. Will not open on current iOS on iPad mini. Crashes immediately.

Wont open on iOS 9...great job seeing as virtually every iPhone is running iOS 9...

This adaption is a straight emulation of the original. Since this game was mouse driven, you have to move the cursor to select anything. It was NOT AT ALL adapted to a touch interface. Its completely unplayable. What a waste of money.

Update: Well the game now loads, and what a joke, doesnt even operate using your touch screen. Id rather give my money to someone holding a cardboard sign on a street corner than to the developers of this junk... unbelievable. Game does not open, black screen and crashes. Really? Cant believe the developers dont pull the app until they fix it - you have my money I do not have an app that works. Boo...

The game wont load when first purchased. Then it finally loads but wont move past the game start screen. This is after you pick the country and what not to set sail. There are many problems with this game. Dont buy it as it isnt playable at this point!

Look I loved this exact game years ago and was excited when I saw it. They simply somehow morphed that old dos game to get it to run on iOS. The original game was mouse driven so you swipe your finger across the screen to drag the mouse pointer around but ok, how the hell do you click anything. Mashing the pointer does nothing. I cant even get past the first turn because I cant move the ship.

Its now updated for iOS 9 and works for me. This is a straight port of the PC version complete w a mouse to move around which makes selecting things a pain and thats the main drawback. Having said that the game is playable and it takes time to get used to the controls and then its not as bad. I recommend going online and reading some FAQs and walkthroughs if this game is new to you. Starting with the Dutch is best for newbies.

I should have read other reviews before buying. It wasnt adapted for iPhone at all and doesnt load. Too bad. I use to love this game.

This is a cumbersome adaption to play for someone who grew up playing the Windows version by chunks of hours. What would it take to incorporate a few command buttons and touch-screen features? As it is now, you have to pull up a virtual keyboard for all commands - even piece movement. When you bring it up, you cant see 1/3 of an iPad screen and most of an iPhone screen - making this practically unplayable on a phone. The current glitch which makes this non-functioning is when you load and unload cargo, you are unable to shift and drag items to select how much you want to move - right now its unload all or nothing. Please fix that. Spend some time with the Windows version and discover the beauty of the game.This would sell like hotcakes with a bit more effort in improving functionality and gameplay. I can see the beauty off Sid Meiers game in there - but right not it is not very accessible to experienced players, much less so for newbies.

I have loved Sid Meier games, and was thrilled to see that Colonization was finally on iPad! What a joke on me. The graphics are pixilated, like something from the 1980s. The controls require a virtual keyboard--so it is NOT optimized for iPad, touch controls dont work in any logical way. And once I sat through the interminable introduction, I was stuck on the ocean with no way to pull down the keyboard, and none of the menus responding. I will try again in a few days, in hopes that an update will begin to bring the game into the 21st century, but I will probably have to return it. If I wanted a pixelated keyboard game, I would have pulled out my old desktop from the closet! Sorely disappointed.
